I usually
feel babywearing should happen in ease. I don’t have interest in wraps or meh-dais
as I feel soft structured carriers(SSCs) are easy to handle when compared to
other types. When Baby A was 2 months old the call of Anmol travel hug
programme came and I asked them to push it to few months later as I wanted to
try their SSCs as I own a ringsling and I wasn’t ready to invest in a carrier
then. When Baby A was 6 months old they asked us if we would be able to try the
WCSSC. Wow what an opportunity it was. I received our WCSSC
in the mid of January and it was neatly packed in a cardboard box. The box
consisted of
1.An Anmol Basic
Orange Full WCSSC
2.
Tote
Baby A loves bright colours and when I unpacked
the package baby A’s eyes were sparkling with joy to look at the bright Orange
colour infront of her. She grabbed the WCSSC from my hands and it was a result
from the grabbing milestone which she achieved a month before. It was sooo
gorgeous to see and my camera skills didn’t do the justice :p. When this was in
my hands I just wanted to know about the
history of Anmol and to my surprise I came to know that it is the FIRST
CERTIFIED INDIAN BUCKLED BABYCARRIER Compliant with the standards recommended
by BCIA. When I read this the respect I had for ANMOL roseup. Anmol aims to use
lot of handwoven and handworked fabric panel with natural dyes which are safe
for babies and it can be used from 7kgs to 20kgs. It allows both the front and
back carries and its machine washable which is a big plus.
The Orange Full WCSSC is my all time
favourite its just because of it being lighter and it being summer I would
prefer this for its lighter and nicer feel. As F had to leave out of country in
a weeks’ time I had a lovable opportunity to explore for the trips and
shopping.
Now lets have a look at each and everything
in detail:
- Buckles:
The buckles comprises
of a double lock system and a third elastic lock which is completely safe and
an added advantage which makes a mamma feel secure.
- Storage
Space:
The special
space which is available in the ANMOL is that it has a storage space which is
small on the waistbelt where I had my keys and a small money purse and few
people were lucky enough to carry their mobiles.
- The
hood:
The hood can
be used for neck support and can be used as a sunshade during sunny and it can
be used to cover while we are nursing..
- The
body panel:
The panel
has a rich look and the orange colour attracted Baby A and it was very
comfortable to carry her.
The padding
attached to them is light and it doesn’t make us feel its bulky.
As I said
earlier we did a complete shopping with our anmol and we lived, walked, nursed
,cried with anmol literally. I wore for around 9+hours and it was soooo comfortable
and it’s a boon I can say.
The carrier
has two options to carry the bubs. Front carry and back carry. I preferred
front carry as its recommended that only the babies attain a stage where they
can sit unassisted can be made to sit back,. As I felt it needs a learning
curve I preferred front carry and we rocked in it.
Disclaimer: This Carrier was sent to me as a
part of the Anmol Travel Hug program and the review is made on a honest basis
and I used it extensively for a period of 6 days and I felt very comfortable
and I do recommend my fellow mommies to start your babywearing with anmol.
